Who is Live-In Care for?

When you reach a point that you need extra help and support throughout your day, but are not keen on moving into residential care, then live-In care is a great option. It allows you to stay in the comfort of your own home, maintain your routines and it gives you and your family reassurance that you are not alone.

Live-In Care can be especially helpful for conditions such as dementia, where a change of environment or routine can be very disconcerting and upsetting. It can also be helpful for conditions where someone’s ability to do simple tasks is inhibited such as Parkinson’s or a stroke.

Why choose New Age Care Live-In Care?

Live-In Care with a difference
At New Age Care we are not content to just provide excellent care, we want to raise the bar for in-home care in the industry. Here are some of the reasons to consider choosing us as your Live-In Care provider:

CQC Registered

New Age Care is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC), who are the independent regulator of health and social care in England. Care services registered with the CQC are above par because they are constantly monitored and inspected to ensure the quality of their service.

Our Carers

We believe great care begins with great people, which is why we invest so much time recruiting the best carers, paying above the industry average, providing ongoing training and continually supporting our carers on the job.

Bespoke Packages

Our Live-in care packages are tailored to your individual wishes and needs. We work with you and your family to create a package that is bespoke to you and that will adapt and change as you need it.

Carer Matching

To ensure you get the best carer for you, we spend time getting to know you and your personality. We then match you with the most appropriate carer, to ensure a strong relationship is built right from the start.

Frequently asked questions

Here you can find the most common questions that we get asked in relation to the domiciliary service we provide.
What facilities does a Live-In Carer need?
The carer will need a separate bedroom for sleeping and to relax and take a break. Your carer will prepare meals and usually eat with you, so separate dining facilities will not be required. A Caregiver’s food is usually supplied within the household budget and carers will mention if they have any special requirements / dietary concerns.

What happens when the carer has time off?
When your carer takes their week / 2-week break, we will arrange another carer to take over your care. You will meet this carer beforehand and there will always be a thorough handover between carers. These carer breaks will be communicated to you and your family well in advance, so you know when they are happening.
How does a live-in carer work on a daily basis?
A typical day will vary from person to person as care plans are designed and tailored to suit your individual needs. It can include anything from personal care to companionship, to trips out shopping and administering medication. Family members will be kept informed of any changes to appointments for their loved ones and will also receive daily updates if they wish.
