What facilities does a Live-In Carer need?
The carer will need a separate bedroom for sleeping and to relax and take a break. Your carer will prepare meals and usually eat with you, so separate dining facilities will not be required. A Caregiver’s food is usually supplied within the household budget and carers will mention if they have any special requirements / dietary concerns.

What happens when the carer has time off?
When your carer takes their week / 2-week break, we will arrange another carer to take over your care. You will meet this carer beforehand and there will always be a thorough handover between carers. These carer breaks will be communicated to you and your family well in advance, so you know when they are happening.
How does a live-in carer work on a daily basis?
A typical day will vary from person to person as care plans are designed and tailored to suit your individual needs. It can include anything from personal care to companionship, to trips out shopping and administering medication. Family members will be kept informed of any changes to appointments for their loved ones and will also receive daily updates if they wish.
