Welcome Kelly Othman
Introducing: Our Newest Team Member

Kelly started in care over 15 years ago after growing and running a successful salon. She is a selfless person by nature and care allowed her to use that to make a difference. She spent 11 years as a Registered Manager before coming to join our amazing New Age Care team.
Kelly will be overseeing the care services, managing staff to allow them to work safely and to the best of their ability, and constantly looking at new ways to grow and improve New Age Care.

Outside of work Kelly loves going to the gym and spending time with her family. She is always on the quest of self-improvement.

This is why we're delighted to announce that we're launching a monthly Exercise Club and Sunday Lunch Club at New Age Care.

These will be separate from our Wednesday Clubs and, importantly, are also open to everyone who would like access to meaningful and joyful activities, whilst enjoying the chance to socialise!

Ramadan
During Ramadan, we will be supporting our staff's religious practices.

As Nav, our Birmingham Area Manager will be observing Ramadan, we are respecting his prayer times with "Do Not Disturb" signs and refraining from eating in front of him during daylight hours. This compassionate approach ensures Nav feels valued and accommodated throughout the holy month, fostering a workplace environment of inclusivity and understanding.

Over the weekend we ran a pop up stall at Tesco Superstore (Ricoh Arena Coventry).
We also ran a free prize draw for Prezzee vouchers 
keep your eyes peeled for a stall near you!  
Wednesday Activity Club
We love this photo from February's Wednesday Activity Club, smiles all around, chatting and laughter. Last month our guest speaker was Sonia, a talented actress and voice coach. She entertained everyone with her stories of the famous people she had worked with over the years, in theatre and television.

Cuppa with a Copper
Caroline, our Development Manager, attended a Cuppa with a Copper event at Hollies Tea & Cake Room in Cubbington in January.

Michelle and her colleague, Ed, local police officers, hold these sessions for people to come and ask any questions they may have, offer their advice and support on many topics – helping to keep people safe and well.

Our First Activity Club
We hosted our first Wednesday Activity Club, which was a huge success. The afternoon included bingo, board games, afternoon tea with sandwiches, cakes, and scones, and a discussion with Financial Advisor Chris about finance matters, providing guidance and advice to clients. 

Overall, it was a wonderful afternoon filled with laughter, old friends reuniting, and new friendships forming, with everyone expressing their enjoyment of the event.

"I don’t know how I would of got through the tough times I’ve had just lately if it wasn’t for being put in touch with New Age Care. This team have been amazing after being thrown in the deep end by myself needing care for my mother.

They tended to all my mums needs and at times that wasn’t easy I can assure you. My mum has been in a nursing home for a few weeks and it isn’t working out for her.
I have stood my ground as I want New Age Care back in the POC for my mum. I have had to fight for this but I know they are the right care company for all the help needs my mum will want support with. They weren’t just carers they were more like an extended family.

We are now working to ensure we incorporate the requirements to meet the rating of outstanding criteria for the CQC 5 Domains. We use the CQC guidance to ensure we meet the requirements for the relevant domain. 

In conjunction with the guidance and our own high standards, we have made strides in becoming a proactive business that identifies change, to improve the standard of care we deliver.
